The mind is a wonderful, complex part of the human experience. But for all its seemingly endless chatter, did you know that the mind is capable of focusing on only one thought at a time? Let’s see if we can use that to our advantage in a Mindfulness practice I call Choose Another Thought.
Mindfulness is noticing what is happening right now, inside of you and outside of you, with curiosity and kindness. In this practice, we notice where the runaway train of the mind has taken us, we acknowledge our emotions, then we choose a new, more positive thought to reflect what is happening in the present moment.
